Excellent! Would use again and would recommend to anyone looking for tree removal and stump grinding services. Quote completed professionally and quickly. Excellent communication, always arrived on time, job completed with zero fuss and cleaned up afterwards.
Initial consultation very professional. Prompt arrival for job. Pleasant and polite crew completed pruning of mature camellia tree efficiently with complete removal and tidy up of prunings.
Shane's Trees did a great job in removing a tree that was causing substantial damage to our property. They were very responsive and had a team of four onsite which applied the necessary precautions to get the removal done safely. And all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them.
Super impressed by Shane's Trees today with dream team Gabriel, Theo, Tom and Alex who provided superior service, care, and professionalism in removing a challenging jacaranda tree from our property today. The tree removal was council-approved due to poor condition of the tree (had dropped 4 and 5m branches and posed safety hazard). The team from Shane's Trees offered exceptional service throughout, with easy allocation of booking time, on-time arrival, and meticulous attention to safety and tree care from start to finish. The gentlemen who arrived today were super nice and personable, and focused on getting the job done right and well. They left the whole area completely spotless after the job was finished. Would definitely recommend Shane's Trees for any job - thanks again to the team for their wonderful professionalism and service!
Shane’s trees were fabulous, from the beginning to the end. I interviewed six different companies and they were the standout - organised, professional, punctual, knowledgeable to name but a few of their qualities.

Our tree removal was complex and large - a crane had to be used and the massive branches had to be moved over our pool and conservatory to the sidewalk where it was cut up. A risky job. The skill on display was extraordinary. And they left the place clean and in order - not a stray branch or leaf to be seen.
From start to finish, my experience with Shane’s Trees was nothing short of excellent. They arrived precisely on time, ready to assess the situation and get to work promptly. Their attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols ensured that both their team and my property were protected at all times. When the job was complete, Brian and the team left the yard spotless.
I would highly recommend Shane's Trees to anyone in need of tree/palm removal and stump grinding services.
Top notch tree removal and pruning service. The team arrived ahead of time, were careful and efficient throughout. Got through a lot of work in a few hours. Very happy with the job done. You wouldn't even know they had been there!
Highly recommend them for any tree services you need. Will 100% use them in the future again.
Great service starting from the site inspection and extending through to the removal of 2 large tall trees and 1 small tree on our property.
The team was super quick, efficient and very skilful as our backyard has no access for a crane, so all cutting had to be done by climbing the trees.
All material was carefully hand carried from the back of the property to the truck at the front with no damage.
When the team started mulching the wood, I thought that half of our suburb would be covered in debris and dust, but the site and surroundings were left clean and tidy.
And the entire Team was polite and friendly.
Thank you!
The service provided by Shane’s Trees was fast, value for money and professional.Scott the Arborist came on time and Kyle and the team arrived the same day. The work was done straight away. Kyle checked in regularly to ensure we were happy. Kyle and the team cleaned up the yard and we’re so careful to prevent any damage. I would recommend making a booking with this company if you need a tree pruning or removal service.they are fantastic.
Good communication, appropriate pricing and professional crew made for a pleasant experience dealing with this company. Time efficient removal of a palm tree in a very narrow space. Trump ground down and area cleaned up before their departure. Highly recommended.

Permits & Council Approval – Brisbane Council

Some trees are classed under protected vegetation in Brisbane’s Natural Assets Local Law (NALL). This can include significant urban trees, protected native vegetation, waterway/wetland vegetation, and anything on Council land. If your tree is protected, you will likely need a permit before works.

Shane’s Trees can assist you in this process by verifying the status and arrange for an AQF-qualified arborist report, and facilitate the necessary paperwork.

Tree Removal Costs in Brisbane

What does it cost? It depends on a handful of things: size/species, access, risk (roofs, glass, power lines), and the gear the job needs (EWP, rigging, crane). Here are some FAQ’s from our Brisbane Customers

How much does tree removal cost in Brisbane?

Most suburban removals fall between $550 and $1,800, with complex or large trees higher. You can see our basic ranges above, but we will give you a firm written quote after a site visit.

Do I need Brisbane City Council approval to remove a tree on my property?

Maybe. If it’s protected vegetation under NALL or covered by a VPO, you’ll likely need a permit before works. Non-protected trees generally don’t need approval. Ask us to check for you.

What is the Natural Assets Local Law (NALL)?

NALL is Council’s local law that protects key natural assets—bushland, wetlands, waterway corridors and significant trees in urban/rural areas. It sets out when permits are required and the standards for works.

What is a Vegetation Protection Order (VPO)?

A VPO is a legal order that can protect vegetation on private land if it meets certain values (biodiversity, landscape, cultural/historical). Street and park trees are protected automatically.

How long do permits take?

Minor street-tree pruning approvals can be immediate; other protected-vegetation applications are typically acknowledged within business weeks and processed by Council thereafter. Actual timeframe is Council-dependent.

Will you remove the stump?

If you choose, we grind the stump to below ground level and tidy the area. Stump grinding is priced separately (from $120 for small stumps; large hardwood stumps higher).

Can you work near power lines?

Yes—safely and in accordance with electrical safety requirements. We’ll coordinate where needed and may recommend specific methods (EWP, sectional dismantle, or crane).

Do you take away the green waste—and can I keep the mulch?

Yes to both. We chip and remove waste or leave mulch neatly on-site if you’d like it for gardens.

Are you insured and qualified?

Absolutely. Our crews are qualified arborists, and we maintain comprehensive cover including public liability. Ask us for certs anytime.

Fast Brisbane Tree Quotes

One of our friendly team members will get back to you before you can say ‘timber’!

Some factors that might affect your quote…

The size of your tree. Generally, the bigger it is, the longer it takes to remove – and the more space vegetation takes up in our trucks!

Ease of access. Trees around properties with steep embankments are often difficult to load onto vehicles.

Equipment needed. Certain projects require the use of barges, cranes and even helicopters which may be reflected in your quote.
