Some factors that might affect your quote…

The size of your tree. Generally, the bigger it is, the longer it takes to remove – and the more space vegetation takes up in our trucks!

Ease of access. Trees around properties with steep embankments are often difficult to load onto vehicles.

Equipment needed. Certain projects require the use of barges, cranes and even helicopters which may be reflected in your quote.

View Some Common Questions & Answers!

Not necessarily. With unblocked access and a written scope approved by you, the team can work and send a photo handover. You will need to there to provide a scope of works to the quoter when he arrives, we will arrange a time for this with you.

Yes – all of our quotes are complimentary with no obligation. Free Quotes and Advice all the time

Truth is, there are many factors that go into quoting a tree job. And, a lot of the time, less experienced companies will leave things out, try to change the price mid-job or cut corners on safety. Underinsured or underqualified tree loppers can quote cheaper but if anything were to go wrong – you’d bear the cost. We make sure you’re aware of every cost upfront so there are no nasty surprises along the way.

Yes of course, we’re comprehensively insured (so you can sleep easy at night). We hold $50m public liability insurance, workers comp insurance and professional indemnity insurance – with all of our vehicles and machinery covered, too!

The city of Central Coast has several interesting laws and regulations regarding tree removal.

You can clear vegetation without a permit as long as it satisfies the requirements of the exemption list which can be found here:

    https://www.centralcoast.nsw.gov.au/residents/property/trees-and-vegetation/exempt-tree-works

If the tree does not meet the exemption requirements then you can make a private tree works application here: https://www.centralcoast.nsw.gov.au/residents/property/trees-and-vegetation/private-tree-works-application

Absolutely – we’re owned and directed by a second-generation arborist! We care about quality output – so we put arborists through apprenticeships and now employ 25 qualified and experienced staff members.

Okay, we LOVE talking about this… Generally, a qualified arborist has 3 years of industry experience, a minimum cert 3 in arboriculture and has worked extensively with other qualified arborists to understand the risks involved in safely pruning and removing trees. Learning how to conduct this career safely is an art form – and arborists need to know how to keep themselves and their clients safe without causing increased tree risks. On the other hand, the risk is higher when working with an unqualified arborist (or tree lopper), as they are often self-taught and underinsured.

Yep – from time to time we give away free mulch. It really all depends on your location relative to our work sites and how much you want. We cant really drive a truck around to give you 3 wheelbarrows full, so it is usually a small tipper truck load minimum.

We can take away stump grindings, yes. Generally (unless mentioned on the quote) stump grindings remain to fill the hole as they’ll subside over time and provide an efficient way to reduce trip hazards from the remaining depression.

You must get permission from your neighbour and council (if it’s a protected tree) to cut down the tree. It is not uncommon for our clients to be the neighbour, and not the tree owner – just be sure to seek approval first!

Contact Central Council in the first instance. If they’re unable to assist you, seek advice from a Certificate 5 (Cert 5) arborist. In some instances you may have a case in the land and environment court.

If your tree has been heavily impacted by a storm and is an imminent danger as assessed by a qualified arborist – it can be removed without council approval. The best action (like always!) is to seek the opinion of a qualified arborist through a site inspection.
